98 3.8 or a 95 lt1 are the best..

 

why is the 97 best? and does the lt4 make that much of a difference?

 

ditto or my fave fave is a 96 SS LT4

 

97 is anniversary ed, and last year of LTs, and the LT4 is rated at like 335, and 375, instead of 285/295 and 345/355. the SS LT4 is very rare, any SS of 96 is rare, the 97 LT1 is even rarer than 35anniversery LS1s i beleave.

 

so my car is rare? haha. well damn now i wish i had the lt4, haha. dumb question here, but whats different about the lt4 than the lt1? i'm guessing cam and heads, but is there anything else?

 

The difference? Intake manifold, LT4 is a 4 bolt main, among other things...

 

well i would go with the 98 and up because the ls1 comes with more power stock and is cheaper to modify (in most cases). Plus i dont know where you live but they also have galvinized underbodies so they dont rust

 

I'll say 2000 SS/Z28. More power better looking interior and easier to work on compared to the LT1.

 

man i wish i had the 97 ss w/ the anniversary stripes. if anyone has it want to trade for LS1..
