Default Bending exhaust

So I had someone weld in an elbow on my exhaust after the axle. He did it on a bench though because it unbolts after the rear so he said he could do it out of the car. Well I put it back in and my mufflers don't line up perfectly. The one side is great, but the other points a little down and in.

Now I was wondering if it was possible to heat up the bend and bend it by hand, like get it cherry red with my torch. I'm not making it a tighter bend, I actually want to bend it straighter, so I'm worried about it kinking. Just wondering if anyone who does metal work has ever tried this.

Maybe an 1/8", like a tiny bit. It's not far off, but it is noticeable enough.

To do you you are going to need to get the pipe cherry red, support it at the base where the you want the bend to start then bend it. If can be done but there is a very good chance you will catch the car on fire. It will all depend on you torch skills.

Well it worked out perfectly. Got the pipe cherry red where I wanted to bend it, had a screw jack underneath it, and turned it slowly until I got to the right height and let it cooled there. Both sides are now even with no kinks
