you can get a crossmember mounted torque bar to take some of the pressure off the trans mount. it may be the bushings are bad enough in the rear control arms that they are letting the rear end move around so when you slow down or speed up it has some free play before it stops and the sudden stop tears the mount. the mounts are easy to change and not very expensive. like 15 bucks. need a jack to hold the trans up and a way to get under the car like ramps and or jack stands. always have a backup when goin under a car, if nothing else a couple old rims and chuncks of wood. rather than mess with the bushings i just picked up some boxed rear lca's from spohns, there are some good ones that cost less.

Pulled the distributor off and when you gently shake it is sounds full of pebbles. lol
I have another on the parts car so I think I will just throw it in until it dies and call it good.

a common thing to happen is the screws that hold the rotor come lose and mess things up. if posible locktight the screws to the rotor.

Ahh, Will do. I hope the one on my 93 is sealed well because on the 94 my mom went through a few of these when the water pump went, "according to her mechanic anyway" If this is true is there anything I should do to better seal the unit prior to putting it in. The water pump is new just a few months ago.

I love taking stuff from the parts car. All those old hoses I can just cut. Amazingly good feeling.
