Default BCM radio hotwire

I have done the repair to the BCM once several years ago with great success. Now the problem has come back! Until I am able to contort myself to do it again would it be ok to "Hotwire" my radio so I don't have the constant interruption?
I did post this on a BCM question but then realized I shouldn't piggyback on someone else's thread so I posted it on my own here. Apologies!
