Yeah, but that would fall into the "harmonic balancer" way of thinking!
Do your frame connectors attach directly to the k-member then?
The k-member is a "cradle", not a frame section.

lol. But every Camero has a unibodie. You should be accustomed to the word by now.
The front k-member of the Camaro is identical in concept to what my Fiero has in back.
The engine, tranny (that's for you Scooch), and suspension are mounted on a "cradle" that bolts up to the frame.

It is funny how the industry throws names around. I agree with Camaro 69 that it would not be correct to call the Sub frame connectors “sub frame connectors” because there is no sub frame. Even if you argue there is a sub frame does that brace connect to it? . Camaro guys are just use to term sub frame. The Mopar guys do not call the K member in the 70 challenger a sub frame. In fact if you call it a sub frame you will get a funny you’re a newb look.

The irony is you can buy sub frame connector for the 70 challenger. My guess is because sub frame connectors came out for the Camaro first and if you call it that 98% of the people know what you are talking about. If you called it unibodie supports most people would have no idea.

In the interest of avoiding the likelihood of me further beating a dead horse on this subject, it would be more fitting (and fair to the OP) to continue any discussion on the matter in this thread: https://camaroforums.com/forum/loung...s-donts-74872/
I explain the frame differences in #14.

Unibody with subframes, not sure what the debate is about. Sub means below the frame, which these clearly are -- rigid structural supports, the body is essentially the frame. Stuck in semantics land we are.

Why so touchy about the smilies -- take them for what they are -- smileys!

Using the term "subframe connector" is a familiarized carryover. A frame stiffener is what it is, since 3rd and 4th gen's don't have a subframe.
Oh, and Liberty, kindly watch the MORONIC, inflammatory, inappropriate graphics.

And if you take a Marine, tie a cinder block around his ankles, and toss him in the water, the fact that he goes below the water does not make him a submarine.
Your argument has no merit, because a subframe connector is a part that connects a subframe (a totally separate frame part as described earlier) to the rest of the body. The connector itself is not a sub-frame.
And the one smiley didn't bother me at all. It was the "Do Not Feed The Troll" response to me that I don't take too kindly to.
