Default Bad starter?

I know I post alot of threads (I guess thats a good thing?im active?) but im slowly losing my mind.. Awhile back i posted about my car only clicking and the lights dimming when I started my car. I charged my battery and replaced my alternator and it started up just fine, Today it started doing the demonic ticking again and not starting.. Could it just be a bad starter? I checked all my connections and the radio etc. comes on when I turn the key to ACC or whatever

A bad starter can also drain your battery. So, if you do have a bad starter, it is possible that you also have a dead or damaged battery.

Yep the gear could be stuck from corrosion or the relay has finally had enough.

Woot. I guess I can get it tested. Looks like I get to spend $80 on a new starter.Yippee.

Get a lifetime warranty starter if you need to replace yours. Plus some places have core charges so it could be cheaper.

I think my car is possessed. Before I got the starter tested I decided to put the charger on the battery, charged it until 'FUL" , put the key in and she started up perfectly. I checked the alternator and got the green light.. Why did it suddenly start up when the battery was charged.. What could be draining my battery?

Lots of things can drain a battery. $80 for a starter is cheap.

Hmm, what could drain a battery. Let's assume that you don't leave anything turned on when you leave the car. In that case, some of the battery draining culprets are:

Alternator, starter, aftermarket amp, aftermarket security system, nicked electrical wire, faulty power connector, and the list just keeps on going.

Are you certain that your charging the battery when running? Have you measure that voltage at the battery when the engine is running with a meter (not the dash gauge)?

a bad battery will charge up fast and drain fast.
