Default Bad, Bad, Day

A girl I was with was walking to the car with me while I was talking to some friends of mine. She wanted to turn the cd player on while I was out of my car talking. I gave her my keys, she turned the switch....but she turned it too far on accident. I don't have a safety thing on my clutch, so if it's in gear and you start it, it'll start and take off...and that's just what happened.....

Looking at these pics, what do you think I'm looking at in damage roughly? I could've driven it home if the radiator wasn't busted. I'm getting that fixed asap, and I'll probably beat the hood down enough to drive until I can do the body work. I was thinking about 2 grand. From what I could tell, I'll need a new hood, front bumper, and possibly a passenger fender, but I'm not sure about that.

And notice how the metal is dented under the hood around the left corner of the radiator and the battery, is that even fixable?

You have the right idea on what it's going to take to get it fixed. As far as the part by the battery, you can probably smack that into place with a hammer...

the cop treated it mostly like a no fault, there was no one in either driver's seat, so they were both "parked" cars. my insurance may cover the lady's truck, but there wasn't much damage to it.

after looking at these pictures some more, i definitely won't need a fender. the hood took all of the impact. the front bumper only crushed because of the curb.

this car now has 234,000 miles on the original engine, and it's still running perfectly fine, even with me running it hard. i'm definitely not going to let something like this kill it for me. i know if i sold it i'd see someone else driving it in a couple months. it's just a 3.8, but after having it 3 years and depending on it for all my transportation needs, i love this thing.

anyone know anything about "Ready Rad Radiators?" that's the brand that advance auto has. i was going to buy from napa, but they apparently don't carry camaro radiators. it's 160 bucks, which seems cheap to me. but i don't know.

nope. the hood took the impact, the bumper didn't get pushed back.
