at low rpms or when slowing down in gear, the engine backfires and make a loud booming noise ( i kinda like it and i was told that the air it to rich or something like that and make the backfire. this thing started a couple of day ago and does it when the engine is cold or warm. why has this started to happen now but not in the past. P.S. i moved the boost retard timing **** and the camaro pulls a lot better! could this be the reason?

 

Can you show us a pic of the setup you have for controlling the boost- boost controller, timing retard etc....
