how hard / expensive would it be to drop a t5 or T56 into a auto 3.8?
looking at a 00 3.8 Auto with 35kmi on it for 6500 obo.

Well it really isnt, considering the 4L60E is much MUCH stronger than the t-5, and to swap in a t-56 requires 100% custom parts, Id agree with your dad. The only thing you get with the t-5 is more fun and a little more mpg.

 

its doable. if you dont have any experience it could be tricky
