Default ASR Switch

Has anyone ever tried to hook up a toggle switch to the ASR so you don't have to push the botton every time you get in the car, you could just leave the toggle switch off and not have to worrie about it?

SLP makes a module that reverses the action, off until you want it on. Summit carries it, but it ain't exactly cheap at $72.95. I used to always shut mine off as a matter of habit.

I always shut mine off out of habbit too, but I'm a bracket racer and I'mafraid I'll forget to turn it off on a pass and then I'm screwed. Tonight I took the botton out and stuck in a momentary push botton and now every time I start the car the dash reads "ASR OFF" till I hit the switch and turn it back on. Just thought I'd post this for any of you who would like to know how to get around pushing that stupidbotton everytime you get in your car.

Good to know that works, cheap fix! Did you wire it differently from the stock switch, cuz the original ASR switch is a momentary switch too.

If you unplug either a rear wheel speed sensor or the cruise contol plug on the unit under the hood the traction controll will be disabled and not affect the car (except ABS if you unplug the wheel speed sensor)

The stock switch had three wires going to it, but I only ended up using two. The wire that is all tan with no white stripe is the one I ended up not using and just put a cap on it. I love starting up my car and not pushing that stupid button anymore!
