I have an 81 Z28 and muh effin window wont roll back up! I tried looking for a power window switch around here but they are impossible to find and the ones on ebay cost an *** load! I am thinking its the switch just because of the old age but I am not sure. Can somebody help me out?

 

Could be dirty in there. Try to pry off the inner door pannel (which you would end up doing to change the switch anyway) and clean it up a bit, maybe regrease the slides and stuff.

 

Right you are on the price of the switch. I have a 78 Z-28 with the a-31 power window option also. My d-side window would rool down, and as yours would not go back up. I removed the switch from the console. Carefully pried the switch apart, and used electronic cleaner, and a fine finger nail file ( I got from my wife. She knew something was fishey when I complemented on how wonderful her nails were ). I filed the contacts on the switch, put it back together and it has been working now without a hitch for 8 - months. Hope this helps.
