anyone had this problem?
In my 94 Z28, automatic trans, power windows and locks, I was in a cemetery and I hit a concrete block against the front lower subframe underneath just on the front corner of the subframe in front of the rack, going maybe....1 mile an hour. I was barely rolling. Once I did that, I no longer had functioning windows and no power lock functionality. After replacing the window fuse, I had functioning power locks, but when I tried to operate the windows, the fuse would blow. This happend once. Then the 2nd time, same thing, nothing, only a half hour later, after I thought the fuse blew again, the windows began to operate, as did the power locks. So far so good. What gives? I'm concerned I haven't seen the last of this ghost, lol. Anyone seen this before?
I did bang it pretty good, but not enough to do any physical damage...but something got banged around. I wouldn't know where any such grounds might be. I'll look in my shop manuals. I hope its not a harness issue. Oh no!!!
if your blowin a fuse you must have a pinched wire or lose wire gounding. going to need to try and find the wire that is grounding. can be a very time consuming thing to do.
I found the issue nice I tore down the dash. Checked for proper continuity on the circuit line that I was having an issue with. Turns out, it was a botched wiring job from someone in here previously. Found it quick, which was nice. Thanks for all ur input.
