I just bought a 99 ls1 has 73000 on it and ive found some issues but none that cant be resolved, which is why im writing this im about to tear into it to do a head job, ive done many before but I need this one done really quick so I was curious is there any consistent issues with working on that motor it looks pretty cut and dry but with any thing you always run into crap. Also the previous owner did some things to it but I didn’t buy it from him I bought it from a dealer, so I cant ask the questions that I want answers too, but the guy had the maf sensor backwards, why I don’t know it’s a granatelli so that’s a plus but the ses light wont come on when the key is turned, did he do this for a reason i.e to make it run rich or is it just stupidity, ive already turned it around but I need that light back in working condition any thoughts on that? and is there any way to see if this car was run on the bottle, there is some mounting holes on the backseat hump but i dont see any hole for the line to the engine?
