i used a fenderwell roller, i have heard of guys using a bat and putting it between the tire and fenderwell to slowly roll it up going from thin to thick part of bat. dont want to beat on it and need to heat the paint with a heat gun. my car is lowered almost an inch with stock springs in back and im using 17 inch rims. i think centering your wheel will help more that lowering it. imo if your rubbing with stock springs your gona rub with it lowered. can you get 3/4 in spacers?

I actually do have spacers on them now, but they are 1" spacers. If I take the spacers off, they still rub the wheel well. It's ok if the car is empty, but when people are in it with me, that's a completely different story.

Yeah, on my stock springs, if I hit a pothole or something by myself they still rub. But when I have a couple people in the car, it's a constant rub and when I turn, it rubs the entire turn. Like it's real bad.

i still think your hitting the fenderwell and the outside of the wheelwell where it curves down to meet the fender. i still think your spacers are to big. heres what i found
C5 Z06:
Front: 17x9.5" 54mm. Fit perfectly on a 4th Gen\
Rear: 18x10.5" 58mm. Sit too deep in the fender well, and will require heavy hammering of the inner fender liners, and cutting the projecting edge off the jounce bumper brackets (on most 4th Gens, but not all).

Actually, the rear dimensions you have are the exact rims I have, and even without the spacers, they don't rub the jounce bumper brackets, but are VERY close. That is why I got the spacers, because they didn't touch, but were way too close for comfort. I'll try rolling the fenders tomorrow and have a couple buddies sit in the back and see how it is.

Wow, that's a great write up! I just wish a wheel manufacturer made the C5 Z06 rims with a good offset, like mid 40s offset, then I would absolutely love these rims. Another reason why I bought spacers was because I didn't like how the wheels tucked too far into the wheel well. I want a nice, wide stance (no, not a stupid VW wide stance) lol. I'm thinking about putting these up for sale on Craigslist and buying a set of 2009 replica ZR1 rims for 6 Liter Eater.

I can get a nice offset all the way around with these and I think it would look SICK with these, but I'm not worried about new rims now. These work, just rub lol
