Answer if you have rims and lowered please!
So today I was driving with a couple of my buddies in my car and my rear tires were rubbing real bad! I finally realized that enough is enough and I am about to buy some springs tomorrow because I know my stock springs are shot. So I was wondering if anyone who has at least 18" rims and Eibach lowering springs has an major problems with rubbing or just once in a while? I know I'm rubbing and lowering it sounds stupid, but the travel on the stock springs are horrible and it rubs bad when people are in my car. New lowering springs will make it sit nice and be a stiffer ride.

I have 1.5" drop vogtland springs on my car and 18" wheels on the back. I used a 1/4" spacer and it doesn't rub 99% of the time (1 percent being ultra hard corners and no sliding).

What shocks are you running? I don't have the money for shocks right now, only springs, but when I do get the money, shocks are definitely next. Also, have you heard good things about BMR lowering springs? Hawks Third Gen has a set of 4 1.25" drop springs on there for $230 or so. Cheapest set I found and they seem good but I'm not entirely sure.

Camaro/Firebird 93-2002 V8 BMR Lowering Spring Set
They don't seem bad to me, but I just want to make sure before I make any purchase.

It's rubbing mostly on the wheel well, but rubs on the bottom of the fender well as well. I have C5 Z06 rims, 275/40ZR18. I wanna say the offset is 58mm but not too sure. They aren't deep dish. I have 1" wheel spacers on the back because the inner lip of the rim is WAY too close to the wheel well for my comfort, and with the spacers off, they rub worse.

Socom I don't think the problem is with your springs. I do however think the problem lies in the fact that your rims are to wide in the rear even though the offset is correct. GM calls for a plus size of 245/40R18 when you go to an 18" wheel. I just think your rims are to wide and that's causing the rubbing that you're getting when weight is added to the back. On another note DropZone has a set of lowering springs for around $99.00 new on eBay.

i had to beat the edges in on the inside to get comfortable clearance there and rolled the wheelwells to clear better on the outside. i have 17x11in rim with 315s. dont rub at all. at least havnt yet.

craby, are you talking about how the lip of the fender well ends? like it goes from the quarter panel and rolls into the well and ends? I thought about doing that, like beating that lip against the inside of the quarter panel. Will that be good?

Also, I'm about to order the BMR 1" lowering springs. They are offered on Hawks Third Gen and Summit Racing, both for $230. I know I'm making it harder on myself like this, but who would you trust more? Anyone ever dealt with either site?
