Ok this is his list on a website when he was trying to sell it in July of 2013. I bought it from a dealership a few weeks back and I've had a number of minor issues I've been dealin with. But this list seems to bring back some hope that I made a good deal, especially since she's at 71K on the ODO right now. So guys, what do you think of that list? Whats good and whats bad? And lastly, what mods are left to do to bring her up to around 400-450 hp to the wheels?(Cams, heads, etc)(Preferably keepin it N/A for a few years)

a cam swap should get you to your goals. I would ask this question over on ls1tech. they will give suggestions,(but beware it usually will also start a cam selection war) find what cam you like. if you plan to do the swap your self prepare for at least a 3 to 4 days to the swap in the car. you will then have to get the car retuned.

looks like your car has most of the mods top the suspension I want to add eventually to my 98, the strano parts are very good from what I read and they are not cheap either.

where in Oregon are you? Ive probably seen this car on craigslist im always looking at 4th gens on there for sale

check and make sure the dealer didn't remove some of the mods. theres some coin in her thats for sure. koni's are rebuildable so if they are getting on in years that may be something you will want to have done.

If 450whp is what you're after, a good set of ported 243s and any decent sized cam will get you there. The mod list sounds pretty good for now.

To hit that hp number, you'll also need more fuel pump, look into a walbro 255 and a hotwire kit for it

Im in oregon city. It had been on craigslist for like 4 months. And i probably wont do the swap myself, not a whole lot of free time or the necessary knowledge.

I dont think the dealer took anything off this car. They were not very bright. All they knew is it was a 6 speed V8, with magnaflow exhaust lol. Didnt even know it had no cats, luckily passed inspection still.

My only concern is theres a dyno sheet for 2010 in the car, showing 335hp. Not sure if this was before his mods or after. I left all the receipts at the dealer like a moron. Need to see if they still have them.

with that junk diablo tuner and the mods on the car now, it sounds close to being right (335whp)

Remember, a canned tune will only get you so far, at some point you're going to want to pony up the cash to have someone do a real tune using hptuners/ls1edit etc

You'd be surprised how much a cam/heads will wake a car up, especially with a 6 speed. You'll always read a little higher then the auto guys due to less drivetrain loss

fwiw my car showed 505whp with a 6 speed, no changes other then an th400/9 inch and it showed 394whp and went 2 tenths faster lol

Well does Oregon city have to deq? I'm in Hillsboro and have too that's why I have a catted y pipe for my long tubes if I ever get them on. Be prepared to shell some money for a head and can swap. Last quote I got was like 5-7k to do a cam, head and tune. I'm nearly fell out of my chair. Still getting used to ls1 parts pricing in used to old small block part prices.

Ya i didnt think that tune was all that great from what ive read. How much usually for a professional tune?

And camaroboy, i have to deq, they didnt use the sniffer though and my car wasnt throwing codes so it passed somehow. I wasnt expecting that much for a heads and cam lol damn.

I paid around 400 for a dyno tune for mine, but expect more if the shop does dyno and street/drivability tuning. Heads and cam can be installed by yourself in a few hours without dropping the motor. Parts should run around 3 grand ish

I noticed tubular lower control arms for the front weren't on the list. You didn't mention whether it had a 10 bolt or the rare 12 bolt rear in it. If it's got the 10 bolt, there's something you're gonna wanna swap.
