Default Aftermarket headunits

question about double din and single din, is a 2001 camaro standard compatible with a double din and the pros/cons of each. I'm looking for an audio/video one if that has any effect

Double can be installed fairly easy. It is not meant to be double din so you will have to buy new bezel or most install shops should be able to chop one up for you.

The stereo hole in our cars is 1.5din. A single fits great with an adaptor but the double takes some modding. I put a single in my car with the adaptor, my iPod goes in the hole under the deck when it is plugged in.

Here is my stereo.

Yes for double din you need a new bezel. I just bought a single din adapter from Best Buy, it turned out pretty good.

You can buy a custom made double din bezel, but it's pricey...

SGS stands for Second Gear Start. The 3800 spools up faster than the LS1 and that made slippery weather traction difficult. SGS starts the trans in second to lower the torque output and help with the traction. Most V8 camaros had traction control which helped out and to my knowlege the v6 cars could not be ordered with TC.

My 02 sixer had traction control. I don't think many of them did though.
