Anyone know the bolt size for this that bolts into the back of the ac compressor for an 2002 3.8l. I read it was an M10X1.5 but I can’t get it to go in. Any help will be appreciated

 

won't go through the fitting or wont thread into compressor or both?

 

It won’t go into the threading in the compressor

 

The parts book list the bolt as M10x1.5x32 and gives the part number of 15726460. It also list a AC Delco number of 179-2006. Not sure of metric bolts, but could the problem be a case of course or fine thread differences?

 

this is part number for 93 compressor condenser pipe bolt 14056165 part number changed in 2000 to 15726460

ten bucks for a bolt dang! but im not see one of that size anywhere, thanks for the help guys

 

might try the local wrecking yard, pretty common bolt for gm ac compressor
