The ABS module does not need programming, but the module itself does not usually go bad. However; wiring, connectors, and sensors tend to go bad with age. The easiest thing would be to get the ABS scanned and see what it is complaining about, and at least point you in the right direction.
In your first post you mentioned that the brake light is also coming on. Unless the lamp is lighting because of the hand brake switch not releasing, then it is an indication of a problem with the brake system not related to the ABS and could be a safety issue. A brake system problem could also cause the ABS to act up.

Most ABS trouble codes will also light the Brake lamp. The exceptions are ones for TCS and a few others. All wheel speed sensor codes light the brake lamp also.

I don't think there is any programming to do on a replacement module.
Well I drove the car today and there was no light that showed. I hope pulling the plugs off and shooting wd40 did the trick. Really appreciate the help on it. I really did not want to take it to the dealer and spend $100 there and then spend another $600 on a abs module

Well I thought I fixed the issue but it came back today. I guess I will have to check the connectors and see if they are a problem first and then take it to the dealer
