About to get some long tube headers on the 98 what gains to expect
I was told around 10hp with long tubes and the pacesetter ypipe if that sounds right to anyone? I was also talking to the guy that's gonna tune my car. He said 10 for the tune. Id be spending a big amount of money here just for 20hp. I kinda thought it would be 30-35 when it was said in done.... What Should I expect? Car right now has lid and borla exhaust...

I see. Im hoping 15 for the tune at least. I mean im paying 300dollars for this stupid tune. I meant to get long tubes awhile back in spring but times got hard. Im gonna order them in the next month. The cheapest site I found washttp://speed-eng.com/ then texas speed was a little more money. If anyone knows of any sites that have good deals on long tubes let me know.

I would avoid Pacesetter and their Y pipe. Their longtubes are ok when mated with a TSP y pipe, but the Pacesetter ORY is absolute garbage. Best affordable header is BBK; Ceramic coated longtubes with ORY for $475, and the merge is just as good as FM. WS6store.com has things for the cheapest usually

If you want low cost and good quality, look into Texas Speed's stainless steel LTs.
If you can afford them and want some of the best go for the ARH stainless steel LTs (Kooks Y-Pipe merge sucks -- it's similar to the Pacesetter!)...

That's why, the "merge" they have is absolutely terrible; its literally one pipe welded into another. This is what causes extremely annoying rasp and will rob you of power. The best merge for a budget header is either the BBK or the TSP ORY with the FM merge.
The TSP headers are nice because they are 1 /78" primaries and stainless steel, but even at $500 (with NO ory) they are still a bit pricey. 1 3/4" primary longtubes are fine for a bolt on car and ones with small cams.
