I am unfamiliar with the term "vert", sorry. Perhaps if you could throw up some pics or a link to the ad we could provide more advise. Is it stock or modified? How many owners? Been in any wrecks? Did you run a carfax? (I would if I was spending that kind of money on a used 15 year old car). There are many, many variables involved. Would not be fair to you to say, h3ll yeah, go for it. I would have it inspected by a trust worthy mechanic. Better to spend $50 for half hour of a mechanics time than spend $8500 and be sorry I did.

Really? Convertible.
How many miles does "low mileage" mean?

Yep, sorry. Been a truck person. Not many convertibles. Thats why I'm here. To learn. Possibly pass on something I have learned along the way.

'Vert? Eww. But that's me. I don't like them nor the t-tops. Depending on the mileage and the condition of the car, the price may go up or down. In my area, a '98 'Vert with basic options, M6, and 35k miles goes for 11k in Excellent condition and $9700 in fair, but that is my location. Find our why they're selling it. If it were me and we'll pretend I like the 'verts, I'd pay around the 7-7500 range.
