So I ran into another pretty bad coolant leak earlier today and I’ve yet to find the source. The area circled in the picture is the general area where it’s leaking. If anyone could post a diagram of the cooling system I’d greatly appreciate it. My car is a stock 98 v6
I would guess that would be either a head gasket or a freeze plug. You need a Pressure tester and one of those cheap USB inspection cameras. Pressure testers can be borrowed from most chain parts stores with a lend a tool program. You tube is your best bet for the best way to use the coolant pressure tester. I would try the pressure tester first. Sometimes when you add pressure to a cold motor you get the fountain effect.
