I'm about to dive in to replacing the head gaskets in my 97 camaro LT1.
can someone point me in the right direction to links for help or tips and tricks to do this?

it looks like a beeoych to do in the car, but i have no choice .

pick up a shop manual. best would be a factory shop/service manual. could try alldata, they let you access electronic factory manuals for a price.

looking for people who have been there done that and have some valid input on replacing heads/gaskets while engine is still in the car.
some HELPFUL tips and tricks...

 

soak the exhaust bolts with pb blaster for a day or two. hardest part is getting the exhaust manifolds off. busted two bolts on mine.

 

Try a 'search' in this 4th gen sub forum and also the correct sub forum of engine&internals. This topic has to be brought up somewhere I'm sure.
