96 Auto shifter

Hey guys, Does anyone on here know of someone who makes an aftermarket shifter for my 96 Camaro? It is an automatic.

you can go with Hurst or B&M...as long as it says for 700r4 of 4l60e it will work

I can find them for the 700r4 but not the 4l60e. Is the 4160e the same thing as the 700r4?
Sorry to sound dumb, but I'm not to up to date on tranny's.

yeah its still the same the way the shifter bolts in, ive heard some may require modification tho.Do you plan to keep the center console ?

Yes, I would like to keep the center console. My plan is to mount the shifter in the stock location under the factory shifter. If the auto console won't work I have a manual console that I may be able to use.

Ehhhh, are you doing it mainly for looks? Because it's not going to make the trans itself shift any differently.

That's right. I'm just changing it for looks. Everyone seems to have the "stock" shifters in there 4th gen. Camaro's. Just thought I'd change it up a little.
