Yes you can you just need to wire up an obd 2 port to pcm (c4) thank you all for your replies. they are the same just needed to switch one wire on a 94 the tps wire is a pcm power feed on a 96 and on c230 pin k is (output field service) on a 94 it is (torque converter control) so you can cut that other than that it is exactly the same. it was basicly an obd 1 conversion backwards.

obd2 port pin on (C4 blue)
2) PPl pin 7
4) ground
5) ground
6) wht/blk pin 20
9) tan pin 30
16) +12v

Of course I fully intend to it works great trying to find a transmission for a 96 now first one snapped the tourqe converter bolts and shattered tranny like it was a peace of glass but as long as I use the 96 tranny computer will read it and the output 4000 pulses / MIN is the same

yes but the engine is built with a fuel cell and inline fuel pump controlled independently the security system cuts off fuel so i dont know if the security will accept it or not i will post more in a few day when i get to make changes however in the event that it dose effect harness C230 pin E is the theft deterrent-fuel enable feed on both cars so we will see but its not hard to even run it as a stand alone the biggest help was the info posted on LT1swap.com all the pinouts and colors of the wires are clearly described between all the models

If you like to play with electronics, you can put together your own bypass for a fraction of what that one you listed costs: https://camaroforums.com/forum/gener...-delete-63327/

theft wire to pcm is the same 94-97
maybe he forgot to add power to the would be tps input on 96's it is a power feed to pcm and he won't get power to his injectors like a security sys would do

I was thinking my passkey 2 is already bypassed but if it wasn't already (i haven't had the time to unhook bypass to test this theory) if your key matches the cars and tdm and bcm, security should work anyway my understanding is once the bcm gets the ok from the ohm reading on the key it sends the 5 volt's to the pcm, so in theory if your cars key matches the bcm, the pcm regardless of obd 1 or 2 should receive the 5 volt signal or is there something i am missing? as far as i know (as far as the pcm is concerned ) it just receives a 5 volt signal from the bcm it dose not send one back to ok any ohm reading form the key

sorry second part is for everyone an anyone

That 5v signal is the go/no go that I was talking about earlier. In theory it does not matter how the computer gets the signal it is just happy it gets it.
