My driver side mirror stopped working. I can't hear the motor working at all and the passenger side one does work. I tried doing a search through the forumns but couldn't find any threads about it already. So my question is are these known to go out or could it just be a loose connection somewhere? Thanks

 

The first thing to check is the fuses, assuming nothing is jamming the mirror itself. Next check the switch. If those check out, it could certainly be the motor after 15 years.

Is there a way to change just the motor itself instead of replacing the whole mirror plus housing? Getting a new mirror housing painted is going to cost three times the cost of a mirror >.<
