Ok driving it home the night before it seem like all the gauges flickered went dim then went away, about 7 mins later it dies waiting at a light, it took about three or four cranks it started got it off the road in to a paking lot, 15 mins it started again drove it home. Next morning it starts on the third crank went put gas in and died. At this point I notice the the alt gauge doesnt even move when i turn the key to on nor do I have any of the normal starting lights as well as no sound from the key in.......???? It cranks and sound like its starts but as soon as you let off the key it dies. So I pulled the 2 month old Alt out had it check fine the battery fine, so I start pulling fuses nothing............................ any help on this, could autozone be wrong on the Alt test?????

Get a voltmeter and check battery voltage. If less than 12V with engine off, either the battery is sick or the alternator is not charging it. It could also be that both are good, but there is a bad connection somewhere. Start by checking the red cable going from the aternator to the battery, and the other red cable going from the battery to the junction box with the red cover. Also check the 3 fusible links coming out of the junction box, especially the one going to the ignition switch, and the ignition switch itself.

Ok checked all of that out everythinh seems fine new battery weird thing I went to start it and I let of the key really slow and noticed it stated running so since it was just at the front of my apts I cranked it up then let off the key only half way to run, it was fine all gauges no check engine so I drove it back to my apt holding the key half way......but Im still not sure what the problem is???
