Default 95 camaro z28 383!!!

well guys i just got myself a nice fbody! i picked it up in lansing Il for $800. All it needs is a rign job but im gunna go ahead and do a 383. I already bought my stroker kit and all. but im wondering about the cooling. I see that this isnt a driven water pump, looks to be electric. Do they come stock electric? Ive know electric are always better than driven due to hp loss from the drag. and that u can still circulate water even when the engine is off. So my question is how many gpm does the stock waterpump(electric or driven) put out? summit has a 43 gpm for 240 i believe. any help is apprieciated! thanks -Justin

I'm not sure about the stock capacity, but the stock one isn't electric so your motor has had an upgrade

You didn't say what motor LS1 or LT1, who makes the water pump that you have that is electric?

It's a '95 383, so providing it has the origional block it has to be an LT1.

Suprisingly this car came with a 58mm bbk throttle body, edlebrock shorty headers, 3" magnaflow exhaust, an extra set of rims and tires(new) haha. well as for the water pump dealio... I guess its cam driven? haha not belt driven. but there is an electrical connction going to the waterpump, behind the pump and in front of the motor thats in a really difficult spot to remove the clip. so maybe its stock maybe its aftermarket performance? clueless haha

It's electric. The water pump you have on there now is 43 gpm - 55 gpm (from all that I saw on Jegs). More than likely the one you have is the 43 gpm one, as it's description is LT1 Electric water pump, vice SBC Electric water pump.
