Default 95 camaro Ground ?

I have a +/- 10" piece of Braided ground strap hanging from underneath driver side, One end is bolted to the metal housing around the fan- radiator area, No cue where the other end goes, Any help or pics would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

The only braided ground strap that I'm aware of on that model is in the lower left front of the engine compartment. One end attaches to body below where the ABS unit is, the other end attaches to the engine. I don't remember exactly where but I think that it goes on a stud near the left engine mount. I found a service manual drawing of the ground but it isn't very good. it shows the end that attaches to the body, but not the engine. Hope that helps.

yep like mike is sayin its a ground stap and it goes to the motor. anywhere on the block will work. i seem to remember a pain in the but ground by the motor mount and one on the front of the block (easy to get to) on the driver side.

Default Ground ?

Thanks for the info, what kind of issues might I expect by that ground not being attached ? The reason I ask is, About a month ago my Security light went on & has stayed on since, Car starts & runs fine, One more thing, Ive heard of tranny problems associated with faulty or missing ground, Any Thoughts ?
Thanks Again

most electronic systems use the ground at the front of the motor on the driver side. you have a few other grounds on the motor to the system. the ground strap is important to keep systems grounded to the frame and those to the motor consistant with each other. without it the use of other grounds used in a round about way can cause issues. you have a ground in front of the starter, front of the motor on the passenger side (under the belt tensioner) and one on front of the motor on the diver side. it does sound like the vats system is acting up. 4th Gen LT1 F-Body Tech-PassKey/VATS
