Default 94 z28 a/c cooling questions

I had a new a/c compressor put on car and a/c charged up - puts out cool air but has trouble getting cold - when a/c compressor on sometimes hear tapping noise that goes off when I turn a/c off - does the a/c in these freeze you out or just work to keep you cool - the a/c in my 2001 silverado will freeze me out but not the z-28? Thanks for any ideas in advance.

I'm interested in others' answers to this thread, just because I'm in the middle of replacing my A/C lines at the compressor and am hoping to hear that when I get it to seal and get it nicely charged that my A/C will be nice and cold

Same with mine. I have to keep it on high all the time but its still warm inside the car on the hottest days. Just had mine recharged. I have an issue with my compresssor cutting off randomly at elevated RPM's, they think the condensor or expansion valve is clogged causing it to cut out on high pressure, but when idling, it stays on like it should, but never gets freezing like my other cars.
