94' Camaro - Help?
Hey all, I'm looking at buying a 1994 Camaro I just found not to far from me. The problem is, it has a bad clutch, and it has set for awhile. The guy said it needs a clutch, plugs, plug wires, and maybe a little more. He wants $800 for the car. And AutoZone has a Duralast clutch set for $181. I have about $1400 and thats it...for fuel and insurance for a little while, the car and parts to get it running. I'm going to go look at the car on monday, so is there anything I should look for in paticular? Should I get a certain set of wires and plugs or a certain clutch? It's a 3.4L V6, high miles. He also said that since it has set for awhile that it needs a tune up, adjusting idlers and such. So....what do i do? Keep looking or should I go look at this one and look for certain things? This is going to be my first car, and I really want a camaro. This one has the 5 speed in it..which I already know how to drive manuel because of my dad's 73' Stingray Vette.
Thanks, Justin.
Thanks, Justin.
Well, check out the car and find out what "a little more" means (refering to what it needs). You might wanna get a mechanic to check it out to get a closer estimate of what it will cost to get it running. If you like it and everything checks out ok, it's up to you. Oh and one more thing, don't regret getting a V6 instead of a V8. Sometimes it's just a matter of preference.
