Default '94 a/c compressor question

Hi, I have a '94 camaro v-6 that still runs great, the only problem I have is the a/c only holds a charge about 4 weeks, then starts to blow warm again. I have the dye check charge in it and it seems to be coming out from around the clutch area of the compressor. Is there a packing or o-ring on the front area of the pump that can be replaced? Can it be replaced while still being in placeon the motor? Thanks

I doubt it considering that the engine bay is tight with all the stuff in there. You would have to take it off and service it. That is if they offer a rebuild kit for it. On a last resort kind of thing , I just took my compressor off with the rest of the AC if you want to work out something for parts.

genvoodoo, is your take off compressor compatible with my '94? Dumb question but I have to ask, was it working when you removed it? And lastly, what would you want for the compressor? Thanks

The compressor came off my 94 camaro with the 3.4L It was still pressurized when removed and spins freely. As far a reimbursement...Throw an offer at me plus shipping and as long as its not like $5 you are welcome to it.
