Default 94 3.4 slave cylinder broke off bell housing.. HELP!!!!

So as i was driving home went to down shift into first and pushed clutch and heard a snap after getting car home. I found i had snapped bracket off the bell housing of tranny completly. I have been trying to figure out either how to fab together a new bracket and get it drillied into the rest of the bracket on the tranny thats left, or was wondering how to remove the bell housing from car and seeing if anyone knew where i could get a new or used bell housing. also is there any bell housings that i can use other than the 94 camaro housing.

This is a semi new car to me and i dont know much about it yet.
its a 1994 camaro 3.4L v6 5 speed trans. also does anyone know how to tell witch trany it has in it?
Thank you.

The good news is your bell housing is fine. What you need is a new rod that the slave cylinder pushes. Inside the bell housing the throwout bearing is attached to the other side of the rod. You will need to remove your tranny, unbolt the bell housing and you can get to the rod. The rod isn't expensive. I recommend replacing the throwout bearing while you are in there.

So what your saying is to go ahead and replace the bell housing, the rod and go ahead and replace throw out bearing as well? ok well what do you call the rod so i can see if the parts store has them??

The bad news is your bellhousing isn't fine. You snapped off the mounting ear that the slave is bolted to. You need to either replace the bellhousing, or see if you can find someone who can braze aluminum to reattach the ear, and add some reinforcement gussets to it. Your clutch components are ok, but since you have to take everything apart to fix the bellhousing, it would be smart to just give it a clutch job. You have a T5 trans btw.

When my rod broke I didn't need to replace the bell-housing, just the actuator rod. Local junk yards will have the bell housing for relitavely cheap if you need the whole thing.

But he didn't break the rod, the ear of the bellhousing that the master cylinder is bolted to snapped off.
And I wish him luck finding a used replacement bellhousing, they're hard to come by.

After 6 junk yards I found a bell housing for 25 bucks. Went ahead and pulled bell housing and I'm planing on put it on tomorrow. How do I make sure I seat the throw out bearing to the clutch fork and put trans spindal back on with seating to correctly. Any tips or certain ways anyone can think of? And does anything need to be lubercated while putting it back together. And if so what type of lubercationto use. And what type of tranny fluid should I use and how much. Thanks

Use Dexron IV or better fluid and fill it to the fill plug. Put your finger in the fill plug and check the level that way. The throwout bearing is fairly easy. Don't clip it onto the fork, ensure that it has proper motion along the shaft and the fork moves the bearing easily. There's nothing to grease exept the hinge where the rod connects to the bell housing. A little grease there won't hurt.

Ok. Well got everything put on and hooked up right, now I don't have any pressure on the clutch till have almost to the floor. So it won't go into gear. I put a new slave cylinder on and bleed the entire system. What else could be the problem now?
