Retrace your steps. You either didn't put something together right, or didn't plug something back in.
Also, are you sure you got your valve lash set correctly? Too tight or too loose and the engine won't run.

hmm i may recheck my valve lash cause i prolly do have a rocker arm too tight...but whats the proper way to do it?

Derek Tackett 02-09-2014 09:39 PM

it was my valve lash cause i readjusted my valves n fired right up...hopefully stays that way

best to set lifters the last time while its running. i can never get them completely correct with engine not running.

Derek Tackett 02-10-2014 05:08 PM

yeah it took me forever to do mine cause like 4 or 5 of my push rods were wayyy wayy too tight nrest were too loose

Derek Tackett 02-11-2014 12:18 AM

but then now heres another problem...it started fine but when i put it in gear it tried stalling out n dying

Did you check your IAC? Tends to be an issue sometimes when they get carbon build up. I've had that issue before on my mercury where id put it in gear and it'd just stall unless i gassed it.

i just looked into my vaccum lines n i see yellow iside but yet just changed the gaskets awhile back..any soultions?
