4l60e swaped to a 350 th

Default 4l60e swaped to a 350 th

id like to know if i can swap my 4l60e for a 350th i have in my garage and if i can what would i need to do like cables drive shift and mods at all it in a 94 z 28 or could i just bolt it inand go with no mods

No, Mount, Crossmember, shift linkage and drive shaft will all need mode You will also have to add on Very long shift cable. The biggest problem will be the computer. When the computer can not find the the tranny it will light up. Also you gas milage would go from not to bad to complete crap on the highway.

sell the 350 and use the money to have the 4l60e built.

ive tried thati have 2 350 a posi rear end and a 383 stroker, with 2 79 cutlass' but noone seems to want to buy any thang right now. amd i cant seem to find the trany the junk yard tels me it has to be out of a 94 or 95 thats it and camaro or firebird thats it true or not??

for someone untrained with out the proper tools yes it would be very hard.

Since the transmission is controled by the computer and there was major computer upgrade in 96 i would think the junkyard is correct.

on the 94-95 to the 96+ the plugins are different. i think the vss may also be different. u can get a tranny ecu but they cost almost as much as a rebuild would cost. heres a couple tranny places to check out.
