If your current exhaust is a welded system before you cut it out remove the middle brace support and check the intermideate pipe where it´s connected to the S pipe after the Cat. If the intermediate pipe has a small S bend in it you will have problems because the one Magnaflow supply is a straight connection and it fits tight against the prop. I needed to get a new intermidiate pipe made.

This is a picture of mine and the second picture with the new pipe made.

I have a bolt on exhaust so hopefully that won't be a problem. What year camaro do you have?

Mines a 1999. My system was the original system from new which was welded so had to be cut out to remove it from over the back axel. We didn´t realise the difference of the intermideate pipes until it was too late. Magnaflow Europe told me they had had problems before on post 1998 models because of the different propshaft. Aparently they fit fine on pre 1998. When I told Magnaflow US of my problems they didn´t want to know and gave me a load of waffel and when I sent them photo´s they didn´t answer me.

Anyway, I went with the Magnaflow because it was more available than a standard or any other system here in the UK. It all fits fine now and sounds great. It was just a bit of pain getting it modified.

Hope yours goes well. Should be easier for you being in the US.

Cheers

the picture shows the bent pipe for the after cat section so that should be fine. if you wish to take the exhaust out in the future use the band clamps.

The S bend that comes with the Magnaflow system is from the Cat to the clamp join on the intermideate pipe. This S pipe was welded to my Cat so couldn´t use it. As I understand it post 1998´s are welded to the Cat but I could be wrong. On pre 1998 the S bend is bolted to the Cat.

Cheers

02 sensor after cat should be retained if posible. i would think you would cut the pipe after the 02 and connect there

With my Borla Adjustable cat-back installed on my '02 RS, there was NO cutting, as stock system disconnects from the S-pipe, and Borla starts right there.

I did, however, cut the over-the-axle pipe right to the rear of the axle to make removal easier of the stocker system.

The pipe coming off the S bend after the cat has the small bend in it like pictured above. Am I going to have to get a custom pipe made?
