Default 3.73 Differential Build

Hello everyone,

I have a 95 Camaro Z28 and, would like some information about "beefing" up my differential from the stock 3.42 to a 3.73. I have talked a couple of friends and they highly recommend I just buy a 3.73, instead of tearing it apart and rebuilding it up because, you have to have every little measurements just right. I would like a walk through on how to do everything if its possible. However, any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

i have an auburn installation document as a pdf , i could send it to you if you like?

also if you are getting new gears you stilll have to tear it all to pieces anyway, most people say not to spend too much money on a 10 bolt ( assuming its still stock) as they will eventually fail

if u are planning to build the motor less than 350hp find a newer ls rearend (a little heavier built) and do the change of brakes while your at it.

Maudy, If you don't mind sending it, I'll take it. Thanks. Also, are you trying to say convert it to a Ford 9"?
Craby, My engine build is a 475 RWHP LT1. Thanks for the tip however, I need the stiffer differential to handle those horses. As for the brakes, I'm going with Baer set-up.

Craby, a lot of people are telling me I need to switch to the Ford 9" but, I'll just see how the 3.73 works. Also, I do have a auto.
