Default 2nd trip to track

Well, I went to the track again for street drags last night. First though, I did some needed maintenance. I ran Sea Foam through the brake booster line and then put it the oil as well-did this four days ago. Then yesterday I did an oil change (seafoam really cleans the oiling system out well-oil was black and had lots of sooty looking stuff in it-also went back to 5/30 from the 15/40 I was running.) I also did a transmission service (filter and changed the fluid to a synthetic one.) Also, flushed out the cooling system. I changed my launch approach from power braking at 1200 rpm to just a fast roll into the throttle from idle (previously I mentioned that I had rolled into the throttle but the didn't work so well when done from 1000-1200 rpm). Anyway, the results were much better!! Best run of the night was 13.81 at 99.35 up from a previous 14.08 at about 97 mph. So I feel ALOT better now about my car and drag night in general.

Default Rear End

I'm running 3.23's. and my tires are BFG gforce supersports set at 24 lbs in back. I'm thinking about getting some drag radials this summer- can't really right now- moving next weekend about 80 miles to the north and altogether it's costing about 2500 bucks. Drag radials would help out a good bit. I want to get a 245/50/16 or something about 26" tall with a width of about 9-10 inches that would fit on a 16" wheel (salad shooter) which I can get pretty cheap in northern cal. I could also go with a 15" which would be less rotating mass, but I'm not sure what 15" wheel would be wide enough and fit on my '95's lug pattern and of course be cheeeeeep in price-they don't have to be fancy, they just have to work. I need to do more research on brands- when you google "245/50/16 drag radials" you get a lot of links to nitto stuff. They have the right size for my car, and their tread wear is rated at 100, so they're pretty sticky as far as that goes, but I wonder if they're the ones I should be using; and also, what other companies make them in my size.
