Default 2nd might be going out

driving home from school today i noticed that it is really hard to get the car in 2nd, sometimes impossible. but when i go slow in first and let it rev to about 1500 it shifts ok into 2nd. i dont recall the last time the tranny fluid was replaced, i have had the car for 1.5 years. could the tranny fluid be the problem? thanks guys

If I were you, I"d change the fluid in the transmission. I know my accord was doing that, but I changed it and it stopped. Otherwise, the syncronizers in the transmssion are going out, and your best bet would be to find a used one, or rebuild it.
