will this tire size look goofy on a 9" rim? My son has two BFG that will match the rears on my car. I want to get them on the front to match the height of the rears.....

they'll look fine. My 4th gen runs 275's all around but on 9.5's

here's a tip to all

check out the local Sam's club and look in the bowels of their tire section. My local Sams bought BFG G Force and there is no market for them and they have 275 40 17's at $85 each and they are the all season, not the summer tires. They're simply dumping them.

Sam's doesn't have a lot of demand for 275 40 17's so someone made a boo boo in my favor

 

What!!!! I'll have to check that out. I love sam's club, never went in the service dept.

 

They will look fine, that is the stock ws6, SS wheel and tire size.

 

the person I spoke with said they took a chance buying them and all they've done is sit around. It would suggest that folks who use those types of tires don't frequent Sams for their tires

I need qty 2 for the 4th gen up front and am debating buying 4 to have 2 as spares.

 

Don't forget to properly "fog" them for long term storage!

Thanks Crab man... I cant be sure what size these front rims are until the tires are actually removed. Theres 225 50 17 on there now and Im not liking how narrow or tall they look.

So i use some old time sayings. Would you prefer if I only use the term when discussing storage of an outboard motor?

But, I do put wood underneath tires which are sititng on concrete for a while

should we also change the term "tune up" because what are we really tuning when it comes to modern engines?
