What would it take to make an 02 firehawk m6 w/ 50xxx miles on it run a 12.1 1/4 consistantly? what would i have to do....i ask because there are 3 well known fast f body's and the slowest is a 12.2 m6 ws6 and the fastest is a stalled auto ls2 with a ****load of weight reduction running low tens.

 

standard bolt ons, a cam and value train upgrades , and a rear gear. The gear may make it annoyig on the highway if you do a lot of miles as it will rev higher for the speed.

If you want to go the gear route, do that first and well as the cheap bolt ons, intake , air filter and exhaust and see what you run.

sticky tires will help, but make sure your rear end is stong or it will detonate when you dump the clutch at 3000 rpm in 1st gear!
