2002 Camaro SS Upgrades
Hello to all, I am new to the forums and need some help. I am not huge into the wrenching business but I can do a few things. Here is what I need help on. I have $600 to do whatever I can to the car, but I don't know what gives the most HP for the money. So, if you would be kind enough to help, maybe give me a list of things that would add up to $600. Or give me 1 thing that would cost that much that would do as much good as a few items. Right now I only have SLP Intake and Exhaust, other than that I don't believe there is anything else done to it. I greatly appreciate your help on this. You can post on here or email me at fighting_falcons@inbox.com or you can PM me. Thank you again.
Do you have a full exhaust or just the catback? I'm assuming just what slp upgrades that came with the car. I would go with a set of long tube headers and a y pipe if you haven't done that already. Your budgets a little tight for a name like kooks headers, but I would look into pacesetter long tubes which are very well known and common on these boards. If you don't have emissions you can go with an off road y pipe, or a high flow catted Y pipe if you do. You'd also want to get the headers coated so they last longer. A full exhaust like that will wake your car up nicely and give you some noticeable gains.
At the top of the 4th Gen section there's a sticky titled "Where to Start Modding" go read through that and it should give you some ideas where to go. From there you can ask more specific questions, but that should answer most of your general ones.
