2000 Z28 Performance
Hello again everyone. As winter sets in I am, as you all are, looking forward to next year. As I wait for better weather, I was wondering if anyone would like to answer this simple question. I have a convertible 2000 Z-28 with a performance intake manifold, shift kit, a 3inch cat-back Flow master exhaust and a 4:10 rear end. Can anyone give me an estimated 1/4 mile time I could expect ? Also anyone know where I could get some road tests and a 2000 Camaro sales brochure ?
I'd imagine the ragtop is a little heavier but these cars were capable of mid 13's out of the box bone stock.
I would think with a good driver that knows how to hole shot it should run pretty close to 13 flat on a good track.
Times will vary a lot based on altitude of the track weather and surface conditions as well as driver expertise.

The SS has a little more umph mostly due to the intake and exhaust so your mods should about equal that.

I would think with an aftermarket rear gear installed, 4.10:1, as GM could only go to 3.42:1 by design of carrier, the ET/0-60 times would be quicker.
You could test 0-60 on a closed road with the iPhone and a thumb.

Possibly, don't forget the vert is nearly a couple hundred pounds heavier.
