Is this how its suppose to be or is there something wrong? How can I fix it if its not working properly?

hmm.. just looks a lil sticky... i dont think your oil pressure is messed up if anything its the gauge

If you have the kahonas to unplug the sensor while the engine is running see if the gauge drops or stays with no signal. If it does not drop once it loses the signal then I would see about getting the stepper motor replaced. Most Speedometer shops can rebuild your cluster for a reasonable price and that includes the stepper motors. I had my Avalanche cluster rebuilt for about $120 parts and labor.

where is the sensor and why do you say if i have kohonas, can i couse some issues?

Well I dont know but I have had a finger go through an idler pulley before and it hurts like a MFER... I wont do it again, no way in ...

Haha I've decided to learn from your mistake and I won't put my fingers where I risk getting them cut off hehe thx...the gauge doesn't look that bad haha.

I still have all 8 fingers and 2 thumbs but when I did that I bruised the stuff out of 2 of my fingers. Thankfully I was playing with a serpentine belt system so when my fingers went through the pulley the tensioner moved to allow room for my fingers. I was also lucky it was through a smooth pulley.

Here is a picture that is just like the car I was working on at the time.
