Hey Guys, this is my first post on the forum.
I have use this forum in the past to fix some of my issues with my car. There's heat coming into my car from around the e-break, one of my friends told me there is supposed to be insulation underneath of the center console. If i move the shifter boot I can see the ground, is there anything i can put under there to insulate this?

Also my T-tops leak both on the passanger side, and the driver side on top of the window (where the window meets the weatherstrip, it leaks where the ttop is supposed to seal to the weatherstrip. right where the windoww starts to curve.

If you could provide me with any information on how to fix these isssues, i would greatly appreciate it!

My t-tops leak there too. I just put a piece of electrical tape thats folded over there. It looks fine and works. Dont laugh at me....

Also where did you put the tape?
It's like it's leaking right where the Ttop drops into that rubber housing thing. Hard to explain, but it's leaking through the crack right into my car, it RAINS in my car!
Where do you put the tape though, i'll do this. Cheap and easy!
Expecially after this weekend, i tried changing my oil pan gasket and grrr it was hell! Next time i will just let it leak lol

 

put the tape right where you say its leaking? as far as insulation, there is a bit in mine and i can also see the ground and body of my car in the shift boot. not enough heat comes up to make a dif. only on long drives when the trans heats up i only really even notice it, and even then its barely any. if your feeling enough that will heat up the car maybe your trans is abt to explode, that would put heat on the bottom of the list of problems.

 

as for the hot air go to home depot NOT lowes they dont sell it

i attached mine with 1/2 inch self-tapping screws and some washers just tell them you need an "oatey master flash" its rubber and has a ring of aluminum and has NO hole in the top you need to cut it out its made for the pipes that stick out of your roof on your house if you cant find it pm me and ill get you some better pics

Also about the water leaking in my car, i noticed today it looks like part of the weather strip is soaking up the water then dripping it in my car. Ugh, i really need to get some weatherstripping or something.
