I recently acquired a 1998 v6/5 speed that has sat for 12 years. Mice chewed several wires, plug wires, etc. I repaired all of the wiring except the small red wire to the alternator, which was chewed off at the connector at the alternator and I can't find the other end. It is a 4 pin connector, but only uses 1 wire. 99 and up are different. If someone could send me a pic of where that wire comes out of the harness I would appreciate it. Thanx

 

that's the exciter wire at least that's what I call it. when you turn on the ignition it puts a 12 volt signal to the alternator that lets it know its time to work.
