Default 1998 camaro

1998 camaro 3.8 It has 3.73 richmond gears installed from previous owner, it makes a loud howling sound, you can't hear it from the outside only the inside when driving, as I let off the gas the howling stops, is it suppose to do this?

yep...richmonds are noisy...I bought a set and had a pro install them. He even checked them after a couple hundred miles. I never could get them to shut up.

Yea sure its not more of a whirring grinding noise? If so, you have bearings in need of replacement -- had to do so on BOTH my Camaros with stock diff internals!
