Default 1997 Camaro SS Rear Spoiler High Rise

good morning, I picked up a 97 Z28 A4 with the SS package and ran the VIN through compnine.com and the RPO codes of WU8, Z28, R7A and R7T show up indicating it is an SS and has SLP items. Anyways, it does not have a high rise rear spoiler. I have tried searching, but not successful as I want to determine if the high rise was an option. I thought all SS came with hi rise. It is more for my understanding curiosity as I am with the low rise. The care drives amazing, has sufficient power and needs paint and a few odds and ends. I replaced my 95 Z28 M6,which was rear ended totaled from an uninsured/unlicensed kid on 7/16/19 (no one was hurt). I am trading the T-56 for a 93 hard top Z28 black to have a winter beater and this Sebring colored one if so i can have t -tops again etc. Anyways, sorry to bore you all w/details. Can anyone help me understand the spoiler question? I know you are the keenly knowledgeable about 4th gens as I check the threads almost daily, regards

The 96 and 97 SS' have a different style spoiler than the 98-02 SS'. The earlier models don't have the two upright supports in the middle of the spoiler. The pictures below show both 1997 style spoilers. The SS has a slight bow or duck bill to it and the Z28 is fairly flat across the top. If the car doesn't have the correct spoiler now, someone has replaced it.
