1997 Camaro RS
Friend at work is selling this. 1997 Camaro RS, has cold air intake, strut bar, 40,000 miles on it and always sat in a garage out of the sun, original paint, not a scratch or dent on it, is asking 7500. What do you all think? Im considering going for it.
seems a lil steep for a '97 rs imo,but is in nice condition.if you have the cash you can get alot of Z-28/ss for that money.just my opinion but there are alot around here.if you're willing to travel a little......when i was looking i saw them all over usa if you were willing to fly to say detroit, dakota, tenn.etc
agreed. it's a nice car, but you should do some research about what it's worth first. also consider what your future plans would be for the car. basically don't settle for convenience if this isn't exactly what you want... like if you really want a v8, or you'd rather have t-tops, etc. nothing wrong with a v6 [or convertible] of course, just making examples... because i've made a few impulse car purchases and sales that i later regretted.
Key points are whether the convertible top is important to you and whether the lack of the V8 is a problem. For me, I will select the convertible V6 over a hardtop V8 in a heartbeat, but I grew up with cv's and cannot imagine not having one. (I have four cars and three are cv's. The other one is a GD minivan for the kids.)
That Buick 3800 engine is a nice little mill, and capable of some serious HP, but it won't ever beat a decent V8 Camaro - so if you are looking for fast . . .
But if you are looking for a beautiful automobile that can drop it's top and look even better, that seems like a fair, but not cheap, price.
