I got passed the pass key system by trail and error. The motor stated right up but not before I had to rig the 1997 fuel pump to power on. So now I have to change the fuel pump and do little things to finish this project. I have to wire the top because the 2000 harness wasnt a convertible. I have a lot to do hopefully i'll be done this week.

I got the 2000 fuel tank and pump in today. The old 1997 tank was steel so I replaced it with the 2000 rubber tank. I also had to change the abs harness on because the 1997 harness is different form the 2000. The car starts up fine and the motor runs strong, The only problem is the airbag lighth came on. I will see whats going on tomorrow. ill see if it just the module.

The rear brake line is bigger on the 1997 RS than the 2000 camaro. I will get that figured out today.

Solved the brake problem. I purchased two compression fitting one for each size line, and a union that connected the two different comprssion fitting together.

Almost done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should not use compression fitting on a brake system. Since they require compression to seal they can blead out fluid let air in the system when its not under compression. In PA we are suppost to fail any car for state inspection if we see compression fittings on the brake system. Or atlease we where 20 years ago. I don't think their design has changed.

Ok today the car ran fine and I parked it and it wouldnt starts anymore. The security light stays on always while driving. So now when I start it nothing happens at all no lights come on the dash except the security light, it doesnt bink it just lights up. The bcm is reading the resistor because I bypassed the sterring column and connected it below the steering wheel. At first when I had the wrong resistor the dash warning lights would flash and the security light would flash for three mins and I could try a new resistor. I disconnected the battery last night and went to start it today nothing still. I did notice that the dash gauges doesnt move anymore. Im going to try to order a new engine computer and bcm and see what happens.
